How do I install the dll-file?

Use an Unzip-application to extract the dll file to your system directory. By default, it is C:\Windows\System (Windows 95/98/Me), C:\WINNT\System32 (Windows NT/2000), or C:\Windows\System32 (Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7). You may also need to put it in the directory of the program that is asking for the file. If putting it in the system directory doesn't help, you may need to use regsvr32. To use it, do the following:

  1. Click on the Start button and select Run
  2. Type CMD and press Enter
  3. Type regsvr32 "filename".dll and press Enter
I'm not able to download any dll files / I get a "Link expired" message when I try to download the files.

What is a DLL?

  1. Click on the Start button and type restore in the search box and you will see the System Restore option in your start menu.
  2. Select either the recommended restore point or look for a custom one.
  3. Follow the instructions. You will need to reboot your computer for the changes to take effect.
